The LaGrange Police Department has some goals and missions they would like to have accomplished within the near future. One goal and mission would be to have a drug dog, and to help use the dog as a deterrent to keep drugs out, and to one day soon eliminate drugs altogether from LaGrange. Also, another goal and mission is to obtain shotgun locks for the patrol cars to provide safety for the officers, and to have less liability issues for the officers. Another goal and mission would be to have safety cages for all patrol cars to provide safer surrounding for the officers. The last goal and mission for the LaGrange Police Department would be to remain actively involved with any training that the State Emergency Management Agency or SEMA provides, and to maintain the equipment that SEMA provides for the officers.
